Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre

As part of the Credit Union's ongoing strategy to help those people excluded from everyday financial services, we have recently started working inside Yarl's Wood, in partnership with Serco, who run the facility, helping residents with various problems resulting from their detention and threat of removal from the UK. A number of residents have already been helped and it is anticipated the service will grow over the coming months.

The BCU, in partnership with F1 Training, is also working with the Probation Service, again addressing financial issues resulting from incarceration and probation.
